Here are the events we've put on in the past ...
22nd Feb 2013 GWYNETH HERBERT at Chilham Village Hall An intimate gig from a unique singer-songwriter (with Al Cherry on gtr). She went walkabout with her ukele on the encore. A voice and style that simply amazes. Also check out Richard Navarro who did the support slot. Wont be long before he gets very expensive to see! |
4th Feb 2013 MAGGA TIEMPO at The Veg Box Cafe Yiannis Zaronis (Greece) and Roberto Soto (Venezuala) took us on a journey around the world playing gyspy music from many traditions with originals. Mostly guitar duos but also with Darbuka (drums) and Charengo (that tiny guitar there - hope I got the name right!). | ![]() |
25th Jan 2013 ALAN BARNES at Chilham Village Hall The best of the best. Some awe-inspiring jazz - be-bop, blues, ballads. Support from The Key Trio (young trio based in Thanet). | ![]() |
28th Dec 2012 SO WHAT at Chilham Village Hall Five musicians brought together for a one-off. We all met in the afternoon and played in the evening. Funky blue-note jazz and a few sweet ballads and bossas thrown in for free. | ![]() |
30th Nov 2012 THE BARCODES at Chilham Village Hall Surely the coolest blues band in the UK, overflowing with experience - Alan Glen, Bob Haddrell, Dino Coccia and Mick Newell. |
10th Nov 2012 BALALAIKA at The Arden Theatre, Faversham Thoroughly enjoyed by all comrades, serfs, tsars, cossacks ... and the good people of Faversham who clapped, laughed and cheered all the way. | ![]() |
26th Oct 2012 CHRISTINE TOBIN at Chilham Village Hall With Phil Robson (gtr) and Dave Hitford (bs) singing Gershwin, Joni Mitchell, Cohen, originals and many more. You never really appreciate how great some singers are until you see them live. |
